Hasltead Housing Authority manages and maintains a total of 60 apartments comprised of Cottonwood Acres, Meadowlark, and Sunflower Heights. Halstead Housing Authority provides apartments for low income families.

Cottonwood Acres

There are 24 one-bedroom apartments arranged in 4-plexes. It is a senior and physically challenged complex. There are two wheelchair accessbile apartments. The entire complex is financed by Rural Development with USDA. The Community Center continues to be used by the residents for a variety of gatherings, including family reunions

Meadowlark

There are eight duplexes comprised of 12 one-bedroom and four two-bedroom physically challenged apartments. The units are available to persons age 62 and older and anyone on disability.

Sunflower Heights

There are 10 duplexes comprised of four three-bedroom and 16 two-bedroom apartments. These units are available to all age groups
